#GirlDinner - Our 2026 IWD Beer

We were delighted to welcome about a dozen of our female customers to the brewery on 8th March to brew a beer in honour of International Women’s Day.

It was truly one of my favourite brew days ever. The team worked together beautifully, got stuck in and asked lots of interesting questions about the brewing process.

The name came from the group - it’s a playful nod to the girl dinner meme.

As always Spookton makes a contribution of 5p for every pint brewed to a charity. We’ll be rounding up the donation for #GirlDinner a bit and we’re delighted to say that proceeds are on the way to the Memory Milk Gift care of Milk Bank at Chester, which one of the IWD brewers works for.

The Memory Milk Gift is a wonderful initiative that enables mothers who have suffered a loss to continue to express their milk and donate it to premature and vulnerable babies who may benefit.

We at Spookton truly can’t think of a more wonderful initiative and are delighted to be able to help in this small way.
