If you’re going to collaborate with a brewery on a custom print, there’s really only one place to start… paper made with actual spent brewer’s grain!
Printed on papermaker GF Smith’s ‘Bier’ range (this one’s Weizen, wheat-based, if you want to get specific), the material itself is part of the story. Full circle from brewery, to print studio, and back to brewery again.
The abstract design is created around Spookton’s newest fermentation tank (which these prints helped us to Crowdfund!). Using elements of its own engineering and technical diagrams, we’ve created a design which is part blueprint, and part beer-fuelled interpretation.
This is a strictly limited edition run of just 20. Each two-colour print has been created by hand using traditional screen printing methods and water-based inks. We’ve created a small, inky contribution to a very large tank!
